INTRODUCTION

Rondo Women’s Development Organization (ROWODO) is a registered non-profit, non-political NGO based in Lindi, Tanzania. Since 2011, we have been working to empower women, youth, and marginalized groups through health education, gender equality advocacy, human rights promotion, and sustainable community development.

OBJECTIVES

Implementation of women welfare and development program by providing legal assistance and education aiming at socio-economic empowerment of women through their participation in all developmental program.

To facilitate implementation of programs aimed at basic health care services (preventive and curative) including malaria prevention and service delivery, maternal health, child health, safe drinking water, hygienic sanitation, sexual health, immunization and dealing with epidemic and pandemic diseases, etc. leading towards reduced mortality.

To enhance understanding of gender issues in humanitarian and development contexts, raising our Collective Voice: Amplifying the issue of GBV at policy and public level thus supporting gender equality, abolition of violence against child and violence against women

Foster innovative improvements to renewable energy, safety technologies, safety culture, and environmental protection systems associated with waste management, offshore oil and gas development purposeful to address climate change

To participate in different development process that aims to improve socioeconomic livelihood of the poor household’s communities by improving agriculture and livestock husbandry.

To create social stability and awareness on reproductive issues, HIV/AIDS and improving malaria curative and preventive methodologies other related adolescence issues.

Promote Gender equality, amplifying and raising voice and awareness on human trafficking to marginalized children.

To advocate for a society whereby children and youth with disabilities have equal rights and opportunities for growth and development.

Increase household income through self-help projects hence eradicating household poverty among the victims of armed conflict and marginalized communities.

To establish working relations amongst LGAs and other non-government organizations

Creating avenue for advocacy for human rights, peaceful resolution of conflicts and sustain socio- economic development among the marginalized communities.

Improved access to education and psycho-social well-being of marginalized children and youth.
